Day 4: Kickin' It Old Skool Blog-a-Thon
Weather Wednesday: What's the weather like where you live today?
"It is blowin' a gale out there" to quote a line from The Royal Tennenbaums, one of my favourite movies. I'm not sure if it's still raining. It poured last night, but I can't hear the rain lashing the roof and windows, so it has probably stopped. I can hear the wind though. It is HOWLING around the house. I'm warm and cozy by the roaring wood stove in the living room, feeling extremely safe and content.
I haven't seen that movie in YEARS~ as I recall it was pretty good.
ReplyDeleteWe are expecting heavy rains as the weekend rolls near. Enjoy the wood stove !
~Dawn
Thanks! Hope you stayed warm over the weekend. I've been crazy-busy, but figure responding late is better than never :-)
DeleteWhat a visual you've created with your words...I can feel the heat from the wood stove!
ReplyDelete:-) It is LOVELY - and stoked all the time!
DeleteHopefully the winds die down for you....a gentle rain would be so much nicer!
ReplyDeleteNow we're getting snow - I preferred the rain - even with the wind!
Deletebrrrrrr sounds blustery indeed. Stay warm !
ReplyDelete:-) Thanks. Hope you're cozy, too!
DeleteSounds so Wintery! Enjoy your fire!
ReplyDeleteThanks :-)!
DeleteHowling winds, a roaring fire... add some hot chocolate and a book and I'd call that nirvana.
ReplyDeleteI bought some mini-marshmallows and hot chocolate at the store yesterday. Let the winds howl!
DeleteI do not miss that kind of weather. I much prefer the milder winter weather where I am. There are times when I'd like a fire but the howling winds, the possibility of snow? I'll pass ;)
ReplyDeleteFair enough. I'm glad you're where you're glad to be :-)
DeleteOh, I love that movie! Thanks for bringing it to mind. It sounds like you are in the absolutely right cozy spot for that kind of weather! Enjoy your day :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jamie!
DeleteSounds lovely, sitting by the fire...sigh. I hope you have a good book and a nice cup of tea (or some other favorite drink).
ReplyDeleteI LOVE TEA!!! :-)
DeleteIt was grey but not too cold here today.

Thanks for the link. I left you a comment :-)
DeleteAh, you make it sound so warm and cozy inside, and beautiful if stormy outside...
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty nice to be inside last Wednesday. Hope you are cozy!
DeleteI love the smell of wood stoves! We have a gas fireplace, but even that is so cozy on cold days like today. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I have lots of birch in my woodpile and the bark smells particularly awesome when it burns :-). Enjoy your cozy stove!
